THE HUNT

Pheasant season in South Dakota runs from the 3rd Saturday of October and closes at the end of January. Each person has a daily limit of 3 pheasants with a possession limit of 15.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

We take care of the details, you enjoy the hunt! Bring warm clothes, comfortable footwear, shooting glasses, and ear protection. You are welcome to bring your own dogs and guns, however, we have guns available to rent and ammunition available for purchase.

Add-Ons

Gun Rental

We have the Viper G2 available for daily rent. The Viper G2 has a fiber optic front sight, 5 round magazine, and soft touch features.

Ammunition

We have ammunition on site available for purchase, including 12 gauge and 20 gauge. Other ammunition available upon request.

Custom Processing

While processing, packaging, and freezing your game is included, Dan’s Last Shot offers custom processing and shipping for an additional fee.

Do I need a hunting license prior to arriving?

A hunting license is required. However, we are happy to assist you in getting your license once you arrive.

Is there a minimum or maximum group size required?

We are able to accommodate groups of up to 16 people. We recommend groups of at least 6 people for optimal experience. However, we can be flexible! For smaller groups under 6, please contact us directly to discuss your options.

How is transportation arranged for hunters?

Transportation is provided to and from the hunt. Prepare for your hunt and enjoy the South Dakota landscape from the comfort of one of our trucks or buses.

What should I bring on my hunt?

Please bring warm clothes, comfortable footwear, shooting glasses, ear protection, your i.d., and hunting license.
